MIA because Monitor Problems

So I bought my computer not even a year ago and already the monitor started to act up.  The screen kept blinking and making loud pitch sounds :(   Since I have a 3 year warranty, I thought I might as well put it to use since I paid almost $300 for it.  So I took the monitor back to where I got it from so they can repackage it and send it to the manufacturer to get it fixed.  I waited and waited for about 3 weeks until they finally called and said it was "fixed".  When I brought the monitor back home I quickly plugged it in and noticed there was a bunch of scratches and cracks on the screen.  A few hours later the monitor made again... made a high pitched sound and on top of that it completely turned the screen black.  So... I took it back, and they sent it in again... This time I waited over a month... I wasn't able to use my computer at all during this time and didn't really want to buy a new monitor for the time being because if I did... then this whole thing would have been a waste of time.  But at least this time when I got my monitor back, they fixed it correctly, I hope... It has only been about a week, so hopefully nothing goes wrong.  That's why I haven't been updating my blog :( I was going to do a loose buttons luxe box review (for those of you who are familiar with birchbox, this is the Canadian version of that.  But for those of you who aren't I'll explain it in another post when I do the review)  but I've received all 3 of them and figured it was already too late! Ahhh...  This totally foiled my blogging plans :( boo... lol

Urban Decay's Naked Palette!

Hey Everyone, so I recently got my hands on the oh so famous Urban Decay's Naked palette.  I've seen several different reviews raving about it and it definitely lives up to all the hype.  I have never had such a hard time finding a product until this one came along.  I've made several previous attempts in going out and picking up one of these palettes, but unfortunately they were always sold out :( until I finally just decided to just leave my email address with Sephora.com so they would be able to contact me when it becomes available.  When they did, I quickly jumped on the Urban Decay's Naked palette band wagon without any hesitation, and I must admit this palette is extremely awesome!

You probably don't know this about me but I am a neutral kind of girl.  To some of you that may sound quite boring but really its because I just started with makeup and need time to explore different products, looks, colors, etc.  This palette was everything I was looking for in a neutral palette since it has a good range of texture and color.  The eye shadows all have really good pigmentation, and when applied to the lid they are easy to blend. But be careful when using the more shimmery shadows in this palette because they tend to have a lot of fallout.  My quick advice to all the beginners is to always practice when you are bored.  Try to figure out the best way to apply shadows of different textures and figure out what is most suitable for your eyes.  But overall, I give this a 5/5 for I believe it is good for beginners who love neutral palettes or even anyone !
